Join us for our Winter Library Concert Series on Sundays at 2pm in the Officer Jeremy Henwood Memorial Park and Performance Annex!

"My name is Cesar and I was born and raised in Tijuana and migrated to southeast San Diego when I was 12 years old. A lot of the music that I play such as cumbia, salsa and merengue, carry a rich history that is tied with different forms of oppressions and understanding the historical contexts is important to honor those who gifted us these genres. The different communities that I grew up in Tijuana and San Diego are the result of my aspirations as an artist and activist, where I try to bring the community together and celebrate our upbringings and struggles, and  be able to heal through dancing, singing, laughing and any other form of artistic expression."
