Join Write Out Loud and SD Public Library for weekly video readings of the 12 Short Story Contest winning stories by local authors during the first 3 years of the program. Sponsored by the Friends of San Diego Central Library, the Contest is a short fiction competition open to all writers residing in San Diego County. It furthers the support provided by SDPL to local writing by shining a spotlight on writers who write short stories. Each story by each author will be posted weekly.

Write Out Loud was founded in 2007 with a commitment to inspire, challenge and entertain by reading literature aloud for a live audience. It has responded to the pandemic by initiating a new virtual story performance and reading program, Listen to This, where they record favorite stories each day and share it with the community.
