Program Description

Event Details

Take part in our workshop and celebrate the National Art Day!

Kids and their parents will be engaged in a discussion about the power of Art and its role in sustainability. We will talk about Repurposed Art and why it is good for the environment.

Then the participants will have fun working on their creative projects using everyday materials and see them obtaining a new life when transformed into a meaningful artwork.

Save those cereal boxes, egg cartons, plastic bottles, plastic utensils, bottle caps, wrappers, tissue boxes, mesh bags, paper bags and cardboard tubes you were going to discard! Bring them over to the class and let your imagination run wild!

Materials and supplies are provided. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own repurposed materials to use in their art projects.
Ages: This is a family event for children and their parents. Other age groups are also welcome.
Time: 3.30 - 4.30 pm
The workshop is provided by Parachute Art Studio in La Jolla
