Mars, the closest planet to us, has been a mystery for much of the course of human nature. But, in the last few decades the myth of Mars has been turned into an understanding of the magic that is the planet we see. This talk will discuss the myths of Mars in early civilization, and from the misunderstanding of the “canals” of Mars as seen through telescopes to the real information recently acquired through multiple rovers having landed on Mars over the last several of decades.
