Here we discuss the best true crime books. While the stories can be gruesome and the characters repulsive, the stories entertain and often promote considerations of sociological and psychological perspectives. We will discuss the narratives and the storytelling. We meet via Zoom on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. This month's selection is "The Man from the Train". Using unprecedented, dramatically compelling sleuthing techniques, legendary statistician and baseball writer Bill James applies his analytical acumen to crack an unsolved century-old mystery surrounding one of the deadliest serial killers in American history. There are ample copies of this selection for loan available in the County Library system.
