Event Details
National Night Out is an annual event where you're invited to lock your doors, turn on outside lights, and spend the evening outside with people like yourself who care about our neighborhood! On the PB Library's Taylor Greene (park facing Dawes Ave) you are invited to come to eat, enjoy activities, and get to better know your neighbors, local police, and elected officials!
- 6:30pm : Community Dinner, presented by St. Andrew’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church ... there's room at the table for all of us!
- 7:00pm : Brief remarks from local law enforcement and community partners
- 7:15pm : Fencing demonstration & short lesson by Team Touché Fencing
- 8:00pm : Free screening under the stars of The Princess Bride (1987, PG, 98 minutes). Bring a blanket or chairs and get comfy cozy.
The Princess Bride: In the delightfully fractured tale, a grandfather reads a story about a beautiful young woman named Buttercup to his bored grandson. Then the audience is magically transported into the tale, complete with villains, creepy creatures and a love story.
Join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 38th Annual National Night Out (NNO) crime and drug prevention event! NNO involves over 16,500 communities from all 50 states, and over 38.5 million people are expected to participate in "America's Night Out Against Crime."
