Event Details

The Not-So-Elementary Book Club for 3rd-5th graders is back, and this time parents can participate; we will be focused on reading classics and analyzing them in a modern lens.  Ms. Katia's pick is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.  It's about an aviator whose plane is forced down in the Sahara Desert encounters a little prince from a small planet who relates his adventures in seeking the secret of what is important in life.  A volunteer participant will read the first chapter of the book before the librarian-facilitated discussion begins. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to take their reading to the next level and connect with peers. Reading the selected book is not required!  Copies of the book are available for checkout at the library.

Registration is recommended, but not required.
