Learn about Georgia O'Keeffe's New York years, 1918 to 1939, when she created her paintings of the city, Lake George, still-lifes and her famous flowers. This lecture will examine her rise to fame, her determination to remain unique and her effort to continually challenge herself through her work. It is also the a story of the great romance and collaboration between O'Keeffe and her husband, Alfred Stieglitz. Towards the end of this period she began her trips to New Mexico and discovered the land she would soon call home.
