Event Details

Explore the music Oceania: Hawaii, Australia and Papua New Guinea. Although known as tourists' destinations, we'll learn about the indigenous preservation of music for honoring deities, the dream state, musical instruments made from natural materials, and building camaraderie through group songs. Throughout the islands musical practices evolved in different times and spaces.
