Program Description

Event Details

Picturesque San Diego is a multi-media presentation based upon the 1887 book of that name written by Douglas Gunn, a former San Diego Union editor who also served as Mayor of the City of San Diego.  Local historian Vincent Rossi will share some of the book's riveting early photos of San Diego County, and its portrait of San Diego in the 1880's, a time when the County's livestock population far outnumbered the human population.  This presentation is free and open to the public, and there is no need to pre-register.
