Event Details

The art you see displayed was created by our hard-working, creative students of Jefferson Elementary from the 2021-21 school year. ArtReach’s goal was to help every student learn art skills, art vocabulary and to feel empowered to access their unique creativity. We focused on helping each young artist find a personal artistic voice and learn to grow confident in facing artistic challenges. Each lesson taught was age-specific, integrated IB Standards, Social Emotional Health and Wellness, and incorporated art history and fine art techniques while furthering the creative development of each student. Diversity and Inclusion were celebrated through exposure to local, historical, and contemporary BIPOC artists whose art fits the context of experiences our 21st-century young artists are living through and learning to process.
