Nathaly Alvizures is a self-taught conceptual artist who was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala and migrated to America at the age of eleven. In 2018 Nathaly struggled with homelessness and found herself living in a Domestic Violence Shelter called Becky’s House with her five children. She focused on her two main passions, motherhood and photography, to document her current challenges, and in doing so, found that she could express herself through the eye of her lens.

An Artist Reception will be held on Saturday October 28th from 1:30-3:30pm.

Application will be considered on a first-come basis. Organizations and individuals based in San Diego or serving primarily San Diego residents, which have not used exhibit space within the past year, will be given priority.
