Jackie Egger is a lifelong creator and crafter who began painting 8 years ago, and has continued to cultivated her surreal style ever since. To create her pieces, Jackie first makes a digital image using photoshop, AI generated pictures, stock images, and her own photos. After a few rounds of editing and blending, she paints the final composition into reality using acrylic paints.
Jackie says of her work, "All my adult life I've pushed against the boundaries of normalcy. Always trying to pry on the edges of the usual, lifting up the next layer of discovery. It's fun. Novelty tickles me. Before I discovered painting, I did various collage and found art sculpture work. Nearly everything in my life and home has been modified, upcycled and is unique to me. Quite recently though I poured myself into paintings. The feedback I received told me to keep going in this direction...and I have. I would describe my style as realistic- surrealistic. I like very clean lines, well blended color gradients, and of course highly weird subject matter. Please reach out if you have questions or would like a private commissioned piece."
