Wishes from Joseon

Sihyeon Park was born in South Korea and has been living and working in San Diego for 9 years. Sihyeon works with traditional Korean paper, natural powdered colors, and the Minhwa (folk painting) techniques that adhere to the traditional methods she studied while attaining a B.A. in Painting and an M.A. in Design Management from Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. In this exhibit, Sihyeon explores the relationship between traditional Korean culture and modern aesthetics.
