Join UC Berkeley professor Dr. Paul Kalas on a guided tour of the Greek island of Crete from the unique perspective of an open water swimmer.  Based on his new book Crete Swim, his talk will cover key aspects of open water swimming, including piloting, preparation, safety, technique, and gear, as well as the cultural significance of his swim routes, such as Greek mythology, astronomy, and literature, and the ancient and modern history of Crete. Signed copies of Crete Swim will be available for purchase.
