Event Details

A family oriented Out of the Shadows program will be presented with special guest speaker Marisa B. Ugarte, Executive Director, Bilateral Safety Corridor Coalition (BSCC).  The film Pinocchio will be shown as part of a featured discussion on how to recognize a victim of Sex Trafficking.  Ms. Ugarte will be interacting with the children, making them detectives to find out what happens to Pinocchio. 
This program is primarily in Spanish. however, the program will be adjusted and presented in both English and Spanish languages to accommodate all participants.  

Out of the Shadows is a program designed to raise public awareness about the problem of sex trafficking in our city, bring to light the plight of sex trafficking victims and at-risk youth, and provide resources and support services for those in need in the San Diego area.
