Event Details

This program is presented by the San Diego Bilateral Safety Corridor Coalition and the San Diego Public Library’s Out of the Shadows Campaign.

There are 20.9 million victims of human trafficking globally:

  • Did you know that the FBI ranks San Diego among the top 13 highest sex-trafficking areas in the country? It has been identified as a high intensity child prostitution area.
  • Did you know that victims include women, children and men, and that human trafficking victims span every socioeconomic and family background?
  • Did you know that the perpetrators include family members, boyfriends, peer recruiters and organized criminals and gangs?
  • Did you know that it is the world’s fastest growing enterprise?

Join us for an important presentation on Human Trafficking Awareness. This is also a domestic issue inside the state of California and inside San Diego County. Please come and learn the facts about Sex-Trafficking and its victims, and how you can help to identify signs and to bring awareness to this crisis.

Pizza and refreshments will be served at 5:30 pm. Presentation begins at 6:00 pm.
