Description of Event
In this workshop, participants will learn about the Parol, a Filipino ornamental star lantern displayed during Christmas, through programming a basic LED lantern using the Adafruit microcontroller. Open to ages 10+, all coding skill levels from beginner to advanced. We’ll begin the workshop by teaching participants about the history of the Parol. The LED circuit, Adafruit microcontroller, and lantern will be pre-wired and assembled so that students can focus on learning how to code a variety of light sequences.
