Vote by Friday, March 8, to help select a film in honor of Women's History Month for us to screen on Friday, March 22 at 2pm!

  • Clueless (1995, PG-13, 110 min)
Witty look at a posh Beverly Hills high school and its most popular student, a teen fashion plate devoted to makeovers and matchmaking.  Director Amy Heckerling based the film on Emma by Jane Austen.
  • Fried Green Tomatoes (1990, PG-13, 130 min)
A neglected wife hears a tale about an independent woman, who ran a town diner in 1920s Alabama, served food to people of color and stood up to her sister-in-law's abusive spouse.
  • A League of Their Own (1992, PG, 128 min)
Penny Marshall directed this look at the first women's professional baseball league, in 1943.  The film focuses on the rivalry between sisters on the same team, and their washed up, hard-drinking coach.
  • Ocean's 8 (2018, PG-13, 110 min)
Five years, eight months, 12 days...and counting. That’s how long Debbie Ocean has been devising the biggest heist of her life. She’ll need a team of the best in their field to nab a cool $150 million dollars in diamonds from the Met Gala. The plan is rock solid, but everything will need to be flawless if the team is going to get in and get away with the ice. All in plain sight.

On the 4th Friday of each month we screen a film that has been selected by the members of our community.  You can vote in-person at the PB Library's Circulation Desk, online in our Facebook poll, or by emailing your vote to cwainwright@sandiego.gov (link sends e-mail).  Also, please feel free to share your suggestions as to what we will show on Friday, April 26.
