Directed by Ang Lee and based on Jane Austen's first novel, Sense and Sensibility follows the story of the three Dashwood sisters who find themselves suddenly destitute after the death of their wealthy father.  The sisters move with their mother to a modest cottage where they vie for the attention of various suitors in search of true love.

At 40 years plus, Picture This at the Central Library is the longest running cinema series in San Diego. Weekly screenings showcase Hollywood, American independent, and international cinema, with occasional added features including speakers, artists, and music.
