The SDPL Tea Group will meet to discuss Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne on Thursday, February 24.  In preparation for the concluding Tea Party/Discussion, we're showing a cinematic adaptation of this literary classic on our Community Room's big screen. 

Description: Michael Todd's Around the World in 80 Days is a star-studded spectacle set in 1872, where a fastidious adventurer wagers 20,000 pounds with members of the London Reform Club that he can circumnavigate the globe in 80 days.  The film won 5 Academy Awards including Best Picture.  Starring: David Niven, Mario Moreno 'Cantinflas', Shirley MacLaine, Robert Newton, and Charles Boyer.  (Rated G, 174 minutes)
