Event Details

There's a reason why beloved author Maurice Sendak ("Where the Wild Things Are") earned his reputation as a giant of children's literature - he believed the demarcations we've come to accept as differentiating adulthood from childhood were arbitrary. His faith in children to understand that which adults so often hide from them was absolute. Director Spike Jonez, who brought Sendak's most popular book to the screen in 2009, gives Sendak his due in "Tell Them Anything You Want" a penetrating look at the (often cantankerous) author, featuring guest appearances from James Gandolfini and Meryl Streep.
