Event Details

What would it take to grow food on Mars? Kids will learn how NASA is exploring ways to farm in space and connect it to how ancient Mesoamerican civilizations used chinampas (floating gardens) to farm. They’ll create a miniature Martian “garden” using recycled materials.

Workshop led by the Fleet Science Center, in collaboration with the SY.STEM Committee, a San Ysidro Education Collaborative working group.
