Event Details

Discover the secrets of the Moon! Students will learn about NASA’s lunar missions and compare them to the way ancient Mayans used their calendar to track the Moon’s phases. Children will create their own “lunar glyph” art based on Mayan symbols and learn how modern science connects to ancient observations.

Workshop led by the Fleet Science Center, in collaboration with the SY.STEM Committee, a San Ysidro Education Collaborative working group.
