Dmitry Kirichenko, piano: Our opening concert of the new season welcomes back celebrated pianist Dmitry Kirichenko performing works by Chopin, Schubert, and Beethoven. His playing, described by Paris music critic Claude Taelman as "warm sensitivity heightened by his delicate touch and great technical mastery," is a perfect match for the Library's fine Schimmel piano, which traditionally is showcased in the first concert of the season. A graduate of the Moscow and Odessa Conservatories, Dr. Kirichenko performs regularly in the United States and Europe.
