Join us for this exclusive event exploring the creativity and connection between lovers of the Sea and writers of Poetry and Prose. San Diego Poetry Annual's Michael Klam, himself a lifelong surfer and poet/artist, will lead a discussion with panelists, surf journalist Scott Bass, classical pianist (and surfer) Jeeyoon Kim, poet/visual artist Ted Washington, and lifelong surfer, artist and author Cher Pendarvis.

Following the conversation will be a limited Open Mic (3 min) where local San Diego poets can share their take on the influence and inspiration they draw from the sea.

  ****IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*****

The Friends of the San Diego Central Library will be hosting their own event and collecting membership donations with opportunities to take home some amazing San Diego swag including a custom surf board from legendary shaper, Hank Warner and gift certificates and swag from San Diego's top rated restaurants. Visit their web page for more information. Everyone who stops by their table is eligible to participate, no purchase necessary.
