Whether you’re new to writing poetry or have been at it for years, adults of all ages are welcome to join Poetry Writing on the Patio @ Point Loma. We’ll spend time writing poems together and sharing them with each other. No pressure to read and no critiques, just a quiet & safe space to work on your poems.

For adults of all ages and experience levels. Drop in for one meeting or join us monthly on the fourth Saturday. Hosted by Cosimo Giovine, Library Assistant III, Point Loma/Hervey Branch Library.

 

Cosimo Giovine earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University and for over 20 years taught creative writing to high school and college students. He is published in literary journals, online magazines, the San Diego Poetry Annual 2025-2026, and in the international poetry anthology Close Up: Poems on Cancer, Grief, Hope, and Healing.
