Program Description

Event Details

The Poway Symphonette is a chamber orchestra composed of local residents that specialize in classical symphonic chamber music of the Baroque and Classical era. It was founded in 2009 by Ulli Reiner, its Artistic Director, Concertmaster and Conductor and is offered through the Poway Unified Adult Education Department.

The Poway Symphonette performs many concert programs at local libraries and retirement residences in the San Diego North County area. Discovery series of concerts at the local libraries serve to educate the public about various music forms and to expand the opportunity for local musicians to perform and provide insights to their music!

The Poway Symphonette has performed in concert halls across the globe and recently returned after performing in the Cantus Music Festival in Salzburg, Austria for the fourth time by special invitation as the “Orchestra in Residence” for the festival.
