Event Details

Learn the fundamentals of renewable energy sources by making your own wind turbine! Using modules made of laser cut wood and electronic components, such as capacitors and diodes, participants will learn different aspects of renewable energy and climate change. Participants will leave the workshop with a model wind turbine, which ties together the renewable energy concepts and circuitry basics!

This is a virtual workshop.

Kits are created by UC San Diego's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering student led organization, Project-In-A-Box.

No experience required!

A Middle School or High School student must be participating.

Limit 1 kit per household. Only 1 registration needed per household.

*If registration has closed and you're interested in attending future Project-In-A-Box workshops, please email LYee@sandiego.gov to be placed on our monthly email list.*
