Join us at the San Ysidro Library for a Reading and Conversation with Omar Pimienta, author of "Album of Fences" (Cardboard House Press, 2019) and Itza Vilaboy, LIBROS Chair and Library Science Student, as part of the ongoing Book to Action program series to take place in the South Bay and Tijuana areas from January - June 2020.

"Album of Fences" is a bilingual text translated from the Spanish by Jose Antonio Villaran from the original El album de las rejas (Cexeci, Ediciones Liliputienses, 2016).  Pimienta documents what living on either side of the US-Mexico border does to a community.  Interrogating familiar checkpoints and interrogated by unfamiliar sights, "Album of Fences" takes poetry and photography into new territories and readings.
