Description of Event

Join us to learn about Ready, Set, Grow San Diego, the City of San Diego’s Urban Forestry initiative bringing new street trees to communities. Funded by a $10 million grant from the U.S. Forest Service, this program is expanding San Diego’s tree canopy by planting trees where they’re needed, redesigning sidewalks, and enhancing the local environment. At this event, we’ll explain how Ready, Set, Grow San Diego works, including how residents can request a free street tree and what to expect from the planting process. There will be a presentation, interactive activities to gather community input, and a Q&A session with the Urban Forestry panel to answer any questions about tree selection, placement, and care. Want a tree planted in front of your home? Join us to find out how you can participate and help make San Diego greener!
