In my past two classes on the New Testament (not required for this upcoming one), I covered the New Testament in general and the Gospels of Mark, Matthew, and Luke. This is part of a series where we give the Gospels a modern scientific analysis, discovering what we can and cannot know with historical certainty. In this class, we apply that same method of study to the Gospel of John, known as the Maverick Gospel, because it is so different from the other three and to the Historical Jesus. We’ll discover what we can know with certainty about who Jesus was.
