Program Description

Event Details

Greek Mythology tells the stories of the hero Theseus, King Minos and his Labyrinth on the island of Crete, and the Minotaur, a half beast and half man that lived there.  Was there really such a place?  Arthur Evans went to Crete to find out.  He located, excavated, and reconstructed the Palace of Knossos.  This lecture is the story of how he accomplished that feat.

Presenter: Henry George
