Description of Event
The mission of the Sierra Club is to explore, enjoy, and protect the planet. The mission of the Outings Program is to share our passion of the outdoors with others and show them all the greatness that our outdoors has to offer through hiking, camping and backpacking. This training is offered to individuals who would like to lead outings for the Sierra Club San Diego.
Part 1 is lecture based indoors.
Part 2 is outdoors at Mission Trails.
Prerequisites are as follows:
1. Have been on at least four Sierra Club outings.
2. Be a Sierra Club member.
3. Be at least 18 years of age.
4. Apply to Attend the Level 1 Chapter Outing Leader training class.
