Program Description

Event Details

Did you know that the Smithsonian once received a book said to be bound in human skin? Or that a Smithsonian scientist donated his skeleton, together with that of his Irish Wolfhound, for research?

These are among the many curious tales embedded in America's national museum - a place where curators, librarians, and researchers make surprising discoveries every day.

Dr. Nancy Gwinn will present a fascinating talk on the "Secrets of the Smithsonian."
