SHAVONE., a multi-hyphenate artistic force, activist, musician and Head of Diversity & Inclusion Communications at TikTok, inspires young readers by sharing her experiences in the tech and creative spaces and presenting her new book POCKET CHANGE COLLECTIVE: BLACK INTERNET EFFECT. SHAVONE.’s new book is the tenth and final edition of the POCKET CHANGE COLLECTIVE, a series dedicated to empowering teens with perspectives from influential cultural voices. SHAVONE.’s witty humor and honest accounts bring readers on her journey from curious student to diversity change-maker in tech. 

This event is free and open to the public but seating is limited so registration is encouraged. Copies of the book may be purchased in advance by visiting the Library Shop online here.
