Michelle lost her beloved daughter, Veronica Lynn, 25 years ago to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
On a beautiful Friday afternoon in sunny San Diego, Michelle, a single mom, left her two children with the babysitter and headed to work. Later that evening SD Police Officers arrived with devastating news. Veronica's death was sudden, unexpected and unexplained. For years Michelle felt alone and confused in her grief. She is currently married and has 6 living children. She has volunteered with Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, PTSA's, and her church for the past 20 years.
Today, Michelle is the President of the San Diego Guild for Infant Survival, the SIDS Parent Support for Empty Cradle, and actively involved with the Southern California Regional SIDS Council. She has participated in several training's for Public Health Nurses and First Responders, countless fundraising events to support SIDS research and a dozen "Walk to Remember" events. Michelle's mission is to support those suffering this horrific loss, share risk reduction tips to support safe infant sleep and to raise awareness in the community.
