Event Details

Have you read a book about people or communities fighting to assert or preserve our inalienable rights to live with dignity and without fear? Have you read a book that inspired you to act for justice and equality? Tell us about it 150 words or less in the Social Justice Book Review Contest between August 27 and September 14.

Separate categories for adults, children, and teens. See contest page for more details including prizes and rules and regulations.

This event is part of SDPL's programming for this year's One Book, One San Diego where we will explore themes of civil rights, social justice, and discrimination. The 2018 One Book selection, March is by Congressman John Lewis, Andrew Aydin and Nate Powell.
