Program Description

Event Details

Using conductive Playdough, LEDs, buzzers, switches and motors in this introduction to circuits' class students make their own simple soft circuits. After learning the basics of simple series and parallel circuits you design a project using conductive Playdough, electrical components and tin foil. Prior student projects have included games such as extract Ahab from the stomach of Moby Dick, where if you touch the whale during the extraction, lights will flash and the buzzer will scream out! Or table soccer where a flick of the fingers is used to 'kick' your tin-foil soccer ball into a net, successful kicks are rewarded with a light show and loud beeping.
