In honor of African-American History Month, the La Jolla Theatre Ensemble presents a staged reading of “In Splendid Error” by William Branch at the La Jolla/Riford Library on both Sunday, February 18th at 2:00pm and Tuesday, February 20th at 7:00pm.

The play takes place in 1859-1860 at the home of Frederick Douglass in upstate New York, during the lead-up to the Civil War.

The play is directed by John Tessmer, stars William Robinson as Douglass, and features John Greenleaf as John Brown.
