Program Description

Event Details

Participants will create their very own fossil by embedding a dinosaur, insect, or plant in faux amber. Using layered translucent soap and a specialized mold for shape, this workshop will give participants a hands-on opportunity to mimic the process of fossilization. Presented by ToshWerks.

Discover the world beneath our feet and learn about plants and animals that lived millions of years ago during our 7th annual Spring into STEAM Event.

Note: Virtual participants will need access to a microwave.

Participate in any of the Spring into STEAM 2023: Dig In! programs and receive your very own Prehistoric Amber activity kit!

All programs run from March through May and are geared towards students ages 9-12. Space is limited and registration is required.

Registration for this virtual camp closes on April 15 to enable program participants to pick-up their program supplies.
