Program Description

Event Details

Cyanotype is a form of image making with light sensitive material. A cross between printmaking and photography, Cyanotypes are activated by UV light from the sun and activate when areas on the paper are blocked from the sun, while others are exposed. After sun exposure for a few minutes, the paper is washed and a bright, cyan image is revealed. Students will experiment with essential and basic photography techniques across different surfaces like paper and fabric. Materials: Light sensitive paper & fabric, water, plexiglass, Photo negatives, Plants.
