Award-winning poets and Honorable Mentions who participated in the 2016 and inaugural Steve Kowit Poetry Prize read and perform their work, collected in a special section of the 2016/17 San Diego Poetry Annual. Special tribute to Kowit’s legacy by internationally known poet Kenny Fries who will be reading from his new books In the Gardens of Japan and In the Province of the Gods. Emceed by Bill Harding, publisher of the San Diego Poetry Annual. Registration encouraged.
The Steve Kowit Poetry Prize will be given annually to deserving Southern California poets in honor of celebrated San Diego poet Steve Kowit.
