Celebrating the Legacy of This Historic Moment on the 50th Anniversary

On the weekend of June 28, 1969, the Stonewall Riot erupted in New York City.  Presented exactly 50 years after the fight for LGBT equality was forever changed, Stonewall: A BWT 24-Hour Play Experience will inspire two teams of Breakthrough Artists to conceive, write, direct, rehearse and perform two short plays about Stonewall within a strict 24-hour time period.  This unique theatrical event will provide an unforgettable opportunity for the artists and audience alike to reflect and celebrate the legacy of a quintessential breakthrough moment of history.
