Join Señor Chon on Friday, June 18th at 12 pm on the SDPL Virtual Hub and SY Facebook page, as he reads "Papa and Me" by Arthur Dorros, illustrated by Andy Gutierrez and "Thunder Boy Jr." by Sherman Alexie, illustrated by Yuyi Morales, in celebration of Father's Day this weekend!

A young bilingual boy and his papa may both speak Spanish or English, but the most important language they speak is the language of love.  Native American Thunder Boy Jr. wants a normal name...one that's all his own. Dad is known as Big Thunder, but Little Thunder doesn't want to share a name and starts brainstorming ideas for his new name, trying to figure out how to talk to his dad about his feelings.. Both stories portray the beautiful close family bond between father and son.
