Event Details

All children who wish to participate in this program must make a reservation.  Parents do not need to sign up.  The registration feature is enabled on this website and will become live on June 10 at 9:30 am.  Please call 858-538-8181 and ask for the Branch Manager if you are having difficulty registering for this program. 

 Challenge Island provides an action packed experience for kids.  Take on exciting challenges that promote creativity, critical thinking, and social skills while instilling a love of science and engineering.  On Shark Tooth Island's Roller Coaster Ridge, you will work with a group of other kids to design and build a roller coaster using common household items and recycled materials. You will learn the physics of roller coasters as well as build 21st century skills such as collaboration, perseverance, flexibility, creative and problem solving abilities, and leadership.
