Event Details

Do you know what’s living among the shores of La Jolla? In this exciting, hands-on program for children and adults of all ages, we explore the vast ecosystems and animals that call the La Jolla Shores home! Special focus will be given to our local pinniped species; California Sea Lions and Harbor Seals. We will discuss best practices for viewing/interacting, their natural history, behaviors, their conservation, and ways you and your families can become a community scientist to support the Seal Society of San Diego in protecting species for years to come!

 

Audience:This program is geared towards school age children and their families, or community members interested in learning more about the pinnipeds inhabiting the shores of La Jolla, and the role they play in their conservation.
