Event Details

Come join us at the Mt. View/Beckwourth Branch Library to celebrate the beginning of the 2023 Summer Reading Program! Families will have an opportunity to take a picture with Odi the Coyote, as well as let the younger children work on a craft.

Last, but not least, there will be a program called All About Electricity where all ages can experience the mind boggling wonder of electricity as we make lightning right before your eyes! We will create real indoor lightning using a safe Tesla Coil. Participants will be given the opportunity to be supported in the air by magnets, have their hair stand on end and perform dozens of other live hands on experiments. Most importantly, everyone will learn the basis of how all the science works.

Event Schedule:

4:00pm: Pictures with Odi the Coyote

4:00pm: Craft for Young Children

4:30pm to 5:30pm: All About Electricity for All Ages
