Event Details

Join the San Diego Public Library as we kick off Summer Time is Reading Time at the Valencia Park / Malcolm X Library right in time to celebrate the start of the San Diego Public Library's 2022 Summer Reading Program: Read Beyond the Beaten Path.

During the event, participants will have an opportunity to register for the 2022 Summer Reading Program, receive free books, enjoy amazing performers, games, crafts, refreshments, and have the opportunity to meet many of our wonderful community partners in Southeastern San Diego!

This is a free event, all are welcome!  

This event is sponsored by the San Diego Public Library, Book Rich Environments (National Book Foundation), San Diego Housing Commission,  SD Nights (County of San Diego), and Diamond Educational Excellence Partnership (DEEP).
