Program Description

Event Details

Come celebrate Mardi Gras a little early at the library. Point Loma’s own Billy Lee and his Swamp Critters will be here to share their gumbo of Cajun and Zydeco music. Their tight three-part vocal harmonics and original songs will have you clapping your hands and stomping your feet. Raised in the Cajun Triangle, Bill promises to include a little history of this form of Gulf Coast Music from the Bayou.

The Swamp Critters are a vital part of the So Cal music scene, performing up and down the coast for music festivals like Gator-by the-Bay. They regularly play for the Bon Temps Social Club Dances.

So, come join the Friends of the Library for a trip to the Bayou. “Laissez le bon temps rouler!” (Let the good times roll!)
